My favorite source for podcasts

I read the previous blog on vodcasts with interest as I have never heard of a vodcast. I then went out to my favorite source of podcasts, http://www.pbs.org/podcasts/%20,%20and, and found that they indeed had a vodcast among their podcasts. It was a science vodcast on Alzheimer’s and this short, 12 ½ minute vodcast was very interesting and an exciting new way of bringing interesting content to teachers and students.

Pbs.org is one of my favorite sites for podcasts (although I don’t do many, most podcasts I download are from this site). Some of my favorite podcasts are Frontline, which takes you around the world for various stories, Nova, which is a science series on such topics as tornados, forensics, and mummies, and P.O.V., which stands for Point of View are personal, independent films on varied subjects.

I really enjoy reading everyone’s blog on the Online Course Design Blog and I am finding out so many interesting things that I never even heard of! I start to write my blog at 3:00 and at 9:00 I am finally writing it after reading all the posts!

P.S. Microsoft Word has to add vodcasts to its’ dictionary as it kept wanting to change it to podcasts! ;-)
