eLearning for Kids

This eLearning website offers free courses for kids of all ages on a Global level. The non-profit site categorizes the courses by topic and by age-range (ages 5-12). eLearning for Kids offers courses on Math, Language Arts, Science, Computer Skills, English Language, and Health and Life Skills. I thought this site was a very useful tool for parents looking for extra education for their children or lessons prior to beginning school. I thought it was remarkable what this company is doing for the education of our children. . . . for free! There are many ways to "donate;" click here to find out how.

This site could be used for interactive exercises with students. It can be used as a tool to get away from the traditional teaching method. I liked it. Especially after realizing my fraction skills need a touch up.

Very neat site! I find it ironic that I just had a conversation with my sister today about my nephew's experiences in school. He came home other day mad at her for not sending him to school when he was 5, because now he is six and he is bored at school. Ironically, he had mastered the all of the content that students are required to learn before he attended the first day. Needless to say, he is feeling like school is really easy! Because of this, I was really interested in checking out this site. I noticed it had a site on money, which is not something listed on the Kdg topics. As I interacted with the site, it did a nice job of reading the directions for getting the student started, but then it stopped. I think my nephew would love playing on the site, but it would require an adult to sit next to him to explain what he should do. This isn't a bad thing, but it is something to be noted: Parent or Teacher involvement should be included with the use of this site (at least for the younger ages).
